My Vision
Hello, I'm Sarah, a compassionate counsellor specialising in Person-Centred Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). My approach is rooted in empathy and respect, creating a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings.
I work with individuals facing a variety of challenges, including leaving the Jehovah's Witness community, domestic abuse, and mental health concerns like anxiety, stress, depression, and the impact of a difficult childhood. I understand the lasting emotional scars of these experiences and am here to guide you through the healing process.
In our sessions, you can expect a warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative environment. I believe you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you, offering support as you regain confidence, rebuild your sense of self, and develop the tools to make meaningful changes.
Through Person-Centred Therapy, we will focus on creating a genuine, empathetic connection, empowering you to reconnect with your inner strength. I also incorporate CBT to help you understand and challenge negative thought patterns, fostering healthier ways of thinking and living.
Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, or the emotional toll of past trauma, I’m here to help you uncover your path forward. Let’s work together to unlock your full potential and create the life you want to live.

“Time and again in my clients, I have seen simple people become significant and creative in their own spheres, as they have developed more trust of the processes going on within themselves, and have dared to feel their own feelings, live by values which they discover within, and express themselves in their own unique ways.” ― Carl R. Rogers,
About Me
As a registered member of BACP, I adhere to their Ethical Framework and understand the significance of confidentiality, respect, and professionalism in therapy. I hold a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling and have experience helping individuals facing various challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and grief. My approach creates a non-judgmental and empathetic environment, allowing clients to express their thoughts and emotions freely, without fear of judgment or criticism.
I hold a BSc in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) counselling. This therapeutic approach focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviours that may contribute to or worsen mental health issues.
While I incorporate a variety of therapeutic methods in my work with clients, I find that CBT can be particularly effective in fostering positive change and empowering individuals to take control of their mental health.
Based on the unique needs and preferences of each client, I may offer this approach during our sessions to help them achieve their goals and enhance their overall well-being. I recognise the challenges individuals face in their daily lives, and by providing an integrated approach using CBT with a person-centred focus, I aim to support personal growth and self-understanding.
